The USQ Singapore Alumni Chapter Executive Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of our new Chairman, Dr Janson Yap, DPST, CISA who secured his place in the recent elections in a landslide win.
Dr Janson Yap is the Regional Managing Director of the Risk Consulting, practice of Deloitte South East Asia. Other portfolios he leads for Deloitte are the Business Model Innovation and e-Business practices in South East Asia.
Janson holds a Doctorate in Professional Studies from USQ, an MBA from the University of NSW, a Post Grad Diploma in Education from Monash and a Bachelor of Science from Monash University.
He has published many articles on medical tourism, leadership and business transformation. He recently co-authored Foresight & Strategy in Asia Pacific.
He was the recipient of the Green Dot award 2012 – Brand Initiative 2012; Guinness Book of Records – Change Leadership 2014 and Global ERS Innovation award 2014.
Janson replaces Jean Xia Jing, who has demonstrated outstanding leadership as our Chairman over the past year. We are pleased to have Jean's ongoing support and continued involvement as a Committee Member.
2016 Chairman candidates Dr. Christopher Fong, Dr. Edmund Lam and Harold Plumb have also been invited to join the Alumni Chapter Executive Committee.
The first action of the Executive Committee will be to host the 2016-2017 Strategic Planning Workshop on the 6th April 2016 to reflect on our 3 year USQ Alumni plan and to set our local priorities for the year ahead.
